So I work at a car dealership and we just got a 2005 Deville DTS in on trade. It looks impeccable (even though it has 137k miles), it has heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, tri-zone climate control, rear park assist, and a pseudo-magnetic ride control that was true magnetic ride control the following year. All in all I've become infatuated with the Northstar V8, the beautiful black paint with gold pin striping, and the amazing ride.
So, to sum this up, does Oppo think this is a good idea?

Please, God, no.
FWD with terrible fuel economy by hauling an engine the wheels cant handle?

Things (comments) are getting very harsh the last few posts. Buy the thing if you can afford to feed it. A Cattle truck is still a nice vehicle.

If, to quote Bytemite, "FWD with terrible fuel economy by hauling an engine the wheels cant handle" are the things you require in a Caddy, then you're in luck.

My my, feisty aren't we? Some unknown hatred for the Deville? Did I strike a nerve or something? Lol

Feeding it is not as big of a concern when you understand that I've been driving a supercharged v6 with a wide open thermostat and fuel consumption issues out the wazoo. I've been getting about 15-16 mpg average recently and on premium nonetheless.

Condition and price, is it an easy resale? That is all that matters.

All the amenities of a new car along with the paint and cleanliness of a show car. Not to mention my discount for working here :)

Some issues with the intake manifold setup (leaks) on Northstars, IIRC, and that ends up being a job that requires disassembly of the whole front suspension to drop the engine (also IIRC). If this one's clear of that so far, good, but it's something that might crop up.

Doesn't matter if it "works" or not, as long as the results are good/hilarious. I give you the big-block '68 Toronado.
